"Game of Thrones"   by Gaby ~ Quiet contemplation

OVERALL IMPRESSION -
Great story about this garage sale item that turned out to be worth a fortune. I really wanted to smack Dan, so thank for portraying him badly enough to invoke that kind of emotion from me.

WHAT I LIKED BEST -
That Marie took it all in stride. I think if I were in her place I would've taken Dan out with one shot.

PLOT~
Dan is only interested in his beer and ESPN. He's constantly ordering his wife, Marie around. Marie spots a garage sale across the street and heads over to looking around. Her old classmate is there, selling her father's things after having put him in a nursing home. Marie spots a painting and pays twenty dollars for it. Dan hates it and orders her to take it back. Marie returns the painting. A few weeks later they are watching television and a woman is on bragging about the painting she bought at a garage sale for a mere ten dollars.

CHARACTER(S)~DESCRIPTION~
Marie who seems to go with the flow and not let too much bother her. Dan is mostly a jerk and doesn't treat his wife well.

I loved the line about Evie and that bikini looking like a yellow jacket from an old movie. That made me laugh. Great descriptions in this short story.

DIALOG~
Great job with Dan's dialog as he ordered Marie around. They seem like total opposites. Even Evie could hardly be bothered to interact. All of it worked well.

House Greyjoy image for G.o.T.

This would be my name.
