Greetings, glendasmith1

This is your local Simply Positive Reviewer, here! Your writing has been selected for review, as part of Simply Positive's mission to bring more light on Authors here at WDC!

First Impressions: This is a quick-acting, rhyme-style poem. By quick-acting, I mean that the lines do not take long to find their mark, a mark that is couched in stark reality. For in our lives there are many compromises we must meet head-on, the kinds of realities that we truly and honestly rather not have had to meet up with in the first place. This poem gives those realities a name. Not a bad nor a good name, mind us, but a name nevertheless. For Life has its way of filtering in with the consequences of those choices that once made, for better or for worse...

Overall Impact: This writing has that inevitable sense of aging that follows everyone, like the proverbial faithful, little dog... everywhere we go. It has that ability to cling to not just the conscience, but the conscious reality of Life itself. There is no bargaining here, many who have lived lives of great responsibilities can honestly admit, at least to themselves, that there were decisions made that sure enough, haunt them to this very day. It is the road many have traveled by, the choices to make, and indeed, the road veers sharply aside, for in doing so, those that make eventful decisions see that their lives, in order to have that rhyme factor, in order to have any kind of rhythm, have to live in the ways that they think. Its pretty powerful stuff. Who thought that eight lines in two stanzas could say so much?

Errors: No errors seen in this writing today.

Summation: I enjoyed reading this poem. Its the kind of poem that people, in getting from the Point A's to Point B's in life, discover that above all, there are consequences that cannot be escaped through decisions they have made.

All they can do is not be haunted by those very decisions.....
