First Impressions: Hello, and thank you for allowing me to read and review your wonderful, short poem this afternoon! "The River"  is one of those neat poems about something I truly know plenty about - rivers! *Bigsmile*

This poem takes me back to my childhood, growing up directly on a river which flowed through my back yard. I have millions of memories there, of people and stories and activities too numerous to mention in this review today!

But there is a spirit with which this poem is written in, a kind of knowing hand that writes such a piece - for it is a hand that I recognize, with the sincere knowledge of what water sounds and feels like ...

And does this poem ever capture such emotion!! *Heart*



Overall Impact: That I think this poem is wonderful is quite obvious, for in truth, I do not think that I could offer any advice in adding or subtracting anything from this writing. It flows beautifully, sets the mood neatly and allows the reader's mind to go wherever it chooses, much in the way water does...



Errors: No errors found here today.



Summation: My favorite stanza:

" Humming tunes sweet
Caressing over pebbles
Rejuvenating precious lives
The River flows."

Indeed, this poem takes us to the place where the singing waters before us ply their trade, where the pebbles get smoother by the day, where hearts can be found sometimes floating this way.............

Aw shucks, I'm getting poetic now, aren't I?? *Blush*
