Thing Signature Made For tHiNg!

What brought tHiNg to glide in a space time continuum over to your port?

*Cow* I gave the prompt for this earlier in the week in "The Writer's Cramp - Poetry Week. Although I was not the judge, I was interested to see what you wrote - thanks for sending me the link! I always like to see what my prompts bring forward.

What does tHiNG think about while perusing your item?

This is a poem about internalizing, then spreading a lot of anger. It is a negative thing that can build on itself over time. It is better to laugh at the absurdity and ridiculousness of human behaviors and move along.

I typically withdraw in such a situation and work on forgiveness over time. Forgiveness does not mean you have to have anything to do with offenders. It just means that you let the anger go.

What does tHiNG applaud about while reading your item?

This was my favorite part:

"But, love wins over
And reader, don't you worry
When anger meets compassion
There's always complete recovery."

Holding on to anger can be very debilitating. Recovery can take time, but when there is some compassion, it is almost always inevitable. I have had bullies insist that I agree with them when I never will here. I forgive them, but I stay away from them, too. So, it is sort of a withdrawl policy over time. I don't support bullies much because they do so much damage to those they wield power over.

In an ideal world, a bully will see the light and change. That would bring about a lot of compassion and forgiveness.

It's lovely to think so, anyway. Fine poem! Well done!

P.S. I am someone who loves to read and review. That is a pretty simple statement and it is true, in the spirit of Ernest Hemingway, who once said, "Write one true thing." *Heart*
