First Impressions: Hello there, and thank you for allowing me to read and review this awesome poem entitled: "Invalid Item" . In many respects, this poem reminds me of Life in the sense that in the comings and goings of this journey that we are upon, the Path before us can be quite hectic, with all manner of obstacles found within.

This poem is the absence of those obstacles on this Path we call "life". In a real sense, it takes a sharper focused look at what amounts to be chance happenings in this life of ours. Happenings that we cannot nor ever will foresee. Indeed, there are plenty of metaphors associated with bottles tossed upon the seas, with notes stashed within them, hopefully to be found by others whom may/may not correspond with the person that sent them...

But this isn't about chance bottles with chance messages within them.

No.

This is about how we as people, metaphorically represented each by a singular bottle, afloat upon the vast waters of the oceans.

And how, luckily or not, someone finds us, opens up our heart - to discover the message there within...



Overall Impact: And what of that message within? What might be the message YOU have written upon YOUR heart, a message that you yourself would give for the world to know?

Anything?

Well, this poem speaks of the person in the poem's message, who - lifted upon the tides of Life - discover that they are held in the grasp of someone who "reads" their life experiences...

Summation: This writing brings to us the golden rays of the sun, the color of a lover's eyes, the blue gray waters of our days... and yet, sometimes when people's Paths cross, we find ourselves merely tossed aside, the bottle sent afloat, back upon the waters once more.

The waters of Life...
