First Impressions: Hi there, and thanks for allowing me to read and review your ultra-brief story entitled: "The Rune" . I must say that the one thing that compelled me to write this review was that the author captured a very interesting topic, writing this up in a cloak of convincing mysteriousness...

Altogether, we can see that the main object of this writing is a rune, which is defined as having symbolic lettering from one to perhaps as many as three alphabets from ancient times.

Another definition was that these ancient alphabetic symbols were found carved into a stone. Rune apparently means "poem" in the Old Germanic/Scandinavian languages, thus giving this reviewer yet another angle to consider this writing.

Altogether, there is ONE thing I wish this story possessed - MORE WRITING!! *Bigsmile*



Overall Impact: I thank the author for allowing me to learn something new today - a goal I had when joining this site overall. I also thank the author for putting in motion this review, for there is much more fun in reviewing items that we have experience with - rather than occasionally guessing what words are best to describe something we've read and have only the information arriving from the story at hand.

THIS story, ultra brief though it is, would be an amazing FLASH FICTION story!!



Errors: I saw no obvious errors made here.



Summation: I am quite interested in runes now!! *Rolling* And how runes are perceived in this world, come what may.

I do hope the author goes into more detail and continues to write what appears to be a very promising story into the future days ahead.
