Books I've read in 2017 with Comments [E] Keeping track of the books I've read in 2017. |
A Review from "Simply Positive Review Forum " ! What brought tHiNg to glide in a space time continuum over to your port? I was looking around your portfolio after writing an entry in your fine Reviewing Forum. I saw this list and thought I would comment. What does tHiNG think about while perusing your item? I think you are doing great, especially if you are recovering. Some of these books are quite lengthy. I was on a roll with reading a few years ago, offline, and then I started to read the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich on the Kindle. That took months and I haven't read at the same pace, since. Because you comment on the weight of the books, I am thinking you read real books. It took me a long time to get the Kindle. To read a book that is lengthy, it's my only choice now. I do prefer the physical books, also when they are short enough. What does tHiNG applaud about while reading your item? If you like good murder mysteries, I recommend the Maisie Dobbs series by Jacqueline Winspear. They are set in the 1930-40's era and are very entertaining. I also like Sue Grafton's work that is set in the 1980's before computers and cell phones ruled the world. It is a happier time and state of mind for me. Great list here! Keep up the fine reading adventures! tHiNG a.k.a. 4ps a.k.a. HOOves P.S. I am someone who loves to read and review. That is a pretty simple statement and it is true, in the spirit of Ernest Hemingway, who once said, "Write one true thing." Ta Ta until we meet again in another place and time....
