*CakeB* HAPPY WDC ACCOUNT ANNIVERSARY FROM "Anniversary Reviews*CakeP*

Howdy, Minja, and happy 4th 'birthday' on here!
I thought this was pretty good, and I can really relate to it.
Since moving here to Texas 7 years ago I kept in touch with my youngest daughter through snail mail. We'd both get really creative in our letters, sometimes jumbling paragraphs around or writing backwards or anything to make our letters unique (yes, my daughter and I are kind of strange). So after I joined WdC and started writing some decent stories, I wanted her to read them, so I either directed her here to view my portfolio or sent her typed versions through the mail. She read maybe the first two, but after that she told me she wouldn't read them anymore unless they were handwritten! That kind of sent me for a loop at first, but I soon realized why she said that. A hand written letter, be it a story or whatnot, is a lot more personal, just as you said.
Here's something else that sort of relates to this: I see everybody these days reading books on Kindles. I thought about buying one, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I need the feel of the book in my hands, to turn the pages manually. Is that strange? I practically live here in the library, and I can't imagine a world without books! I know a lot of great literature is being uploaded and downloaded these days, but I pray that 'old fashioned' books will never go away! I honestly don't know what I do without them!
Great piece, Minja!
Kee ponw ritin gon, thanks for sharing this, and may you have many more wonderful 'birthdays' on WdC!
