This is nice poetry. A Cinquain is a form taken from Japanese Haiku and Tanka. The poetry is very brief. A cross as a symbol of sacrifice, pain, suffering, of love and the dark period of sin makes us aware of its place in our lives. The victory that ensues eventually is perhaps what the cross represents. It is very symbolic of our our struggle through dark phases and our minds turning to sin. How we stay upright is what the cross stands for. The grave is cold. So is death. It is an eventuality. An end of a chapter. Resurrection is of the soul.
