This is nice poetry. A busy person is always short of time. Time is short. There are people who are killing for time and there are people killing time. There is vast difference between the two. A clock can never help in saving time. Time and tide waits for no one. It just passes on. The old clock goes tick tock and it never stops. The clock is a sign of how we move through our phases and how it is always there in the back of our minds. Making a friend of the pendulum is making amity or peace with time. The poetry is very much into an analysis of how time affects us.
