This is a nice poem. It makes us think how old people and age can make us lose our most precious memory. We are handicapped and left to fend with very little help. Memory failing can make us incapable of remembering the things most close to our minds. Granny has trouble remembering her son's wives names. She struggles and sputters the names. She is quite at ease, but it is not known she is sure she is right. The poetry introduces us to her daughter-in-laws, but her son's name is nowhere around. In her last days too, she had trouble remembering the names.
