For an introductory piece, this isn't bad. It's about as short as it can get though, but that doesn't necessarily take anything away from it. It feels like a short children's story, and I like the friendly atmosphere you gave to it in spite of what could have happened.
The spelling and grammar were excellent, which makes me wonder how old you are. As I said, it feel likes a children's story, or possibly even a story a child would write. Regardless, it's a nice 'feel good' piece.
