Your vampire story is powerful and reads almost like a poem. Your word choices are spot on and you create vivid, memorable images. I could really picture your desert vampire going about her business of undead living.

Normally, in a review I share suggestions for improvement and note any grammatical or spelling errors but your writing is flawless. I saw in the Newbies forum that you wanted tips for improvement. My only tip for you is to write more. The world needs more talented writers sharing their stories.

You even made me think of vampires in a new way (and I've read a lot of vampire novels!): as feral animals. I have three feral born cats and they revert easily back to their wild natures whenever they are scared. So this is a great analogy for people like me.
