"Coffee and Cigarettes" [13+] A poem I wrote while going through a break-up. |
HAPPY WDC ACCOUNT ANNIVERSARY FROM "Anniversary Reviews" Aloha, Huanted Scribbler, and happy early 15th 'birthday' on here! I can so relate to this that it's pathetic! Well, maybe not too long ago anyway; I just quit smoking at the beginning of the year! YAY for me! But for all those before then my normal breakfast consisted of coffee and cigarettes, and I still do the occasional coffee thing. But since I've quit smoking I've noticed how much better things are tasting, so that's good. I like how you tortured the reader and made our mouths water by putting those dollar pancakes (with the warm butter and syrup) and the fluffy eggs and the fruit and then the nice tall glass of orange juice RIGHT in front of our faces to the point where we could almost taste all of them, and then you... RIP THE RUG RIGHT OUT FROM UNDER US BY FINISHING THIS WITH THE COFFEE AND CIGARETTE! I can't say that I blame you, though! Very well done, H.S.! I'm sorry it was a break up that inspired you to write this, but at least something good came out of it: this piece! Kee ponw ritin gon, my friend! Thanks for sharing this, and may you have many more wonderful 'birthdays' on WdC!
