Hello Historygeek402,

Welcome to writing.com! I found you in the Noticing Newbies forum.

I love that you use writing to complement your healing practices. I also find writing to be therapeutic sometimes.

Thank you for sharing this personal poem. My heart goes out to you for your suffering.

My heart aches for all those who are mistreated. I think your poem shows that we share this empathy for those who suffer.

Your rhyming is great and the emotion came through powerfully. While I read it, I wondered if you were talking about different people or if there was one person who embodied all this cruel non- compassion.

I didn't spot any spelling or grammatical errors.

Without changing your precious writer's voice, I don't have any suggestions for improvement.

But on a personal note... I totally understand the last line... caring too much certainly can be hell. But I think I'd rather care too much than be cruel and do nothing to improve our world. What's that famous quote? All it takes is for good people to be silent and evil will win? Something like that... It's near my bedtime so please forgive me... essentially what I'm trying to say is that I admire your caring heart. Your degree of suffering probably equals your compassion, which must be great.

I will pray for you after submitting this review. For healing, peace and blessings.

All the best to you,
PWheeler
