That sounds like the basis for a great story. Hope you are ok. I will pray for your healing and encouragement after sending this review. I don't know much about recovery from copperhead bites. Only that they're one of the few poisonous snakes around here.

I wondered if the warmth would wake the snakes when we were walking in the woods that last warm weekend. Actually asked my husband. He calls me the "Queen of Snakes" because I tend to find them. Thankfully I just find them with my eyes, at least so far.

Walking and appreciating nature are two of my hobbies. Maybe we have that in common?

We have had some warm weather lately, especially for this time of year. I'm a bit north of you if you're still in NC. We get the same trends only it's warmer where you are.

So... since this is supposed to be a review I ought to comment on your writing :) Your post made me think that you'd like more interaction here at writing.com. I am kind of a newbie here myself but I got involved in a bunch of contests and joined a few groups right away. That helped me feel like part of the community. I especially think the daily contests are nice for newbies: The Daily Snapshot, The Daily Poem, The Writer's Cramp, and Daily Flash Fiction. One of the groups I joined is in my signature at the bottom of this email. They took a few days to approve me. So if you apply and that happens, don't worry. I thought they weren't going to accept me so that's why I joined the second group. They accepted me right away. I like both groups after all so review for both but I like reviewing and do a lot of it. Though I probably should do less reviewing and more writing! I think this piece in particular might get more reviews/guestbook signings if you edited it to be in regular caps (not all caps but like a regular sentence format).

Also, for me, your writing left me curious but maybe others would like more information up front? Like, what kind of work did you do before the snake bite? What are some of your hobbies (people are probably more likely to share their hobbies with you if you first share yours with them)? Here are some of the things I wondered: What kind of treatment did you need for the snakebite? What is the whole story behind the snakebite? What happened to the snake? How did you react? How badly did it hurt? How long is your recovery expected to be? I'm naturally very curious so maybe these are more questions than regular people might ask.
