How are you doing today? I'm Charlie and I stumbled upon your poem, "The Bipolar Side of Me"  while searching for things to review for the "Invalid Item" .

This poem has a cool lyrical element to it. It's a bit sing-songy, somewhere in between spoken word and hip-hop maybe. Those areas tend to overlap at times. I liked the rushed feeling of the poem because it kind of reminds me of mania and the pressed speech that people get along with it. The general premise of it kind of reminded me of places where the weather changes a lot. People are always like, "If you don't like the weather now, just wait 15 minutes."

I thought the poem got better toward the middle. The beginning was a bit rocky with that super long second line and then the very direct, straightforward lines that followed it. There's definitely room for improvement with the language choices. It could be more concise and more imaginative with some poetic elements, like imagery, added into the mix.

That being said, I do think you captured an element of bipolar disorder that most sufferers face. It's hard to find people who are going to be understanding and stick around through the ups and downs. Hopefully you have a nonjudgmental support system that has your back.
