The help which arrived at the end of the story.

plot:
Running away from abuse and other horrible events balanced by rescue in then is a nice story.

Rhythm:
The story flowed smoothly and was moved along keeping my attention.

I wonder why the mother was abusive? There are many possible answers.

A boy is rubbing in a forest in the rain. running
His clothes were tattered, "is" in first sentence, then "were" in later sentence is going from present tense to past tense.
