Your impression of death is evcocative. Your words lead me to visions of war torn lives, the answer of the depressives who fight their demons, the jealousy of love and the terrible twists of dramatic lives. Sad vision. "burning flesh" is a strong image that I can only imagine. The use of periods is interesting to cause emphatic pauses. You used the world "of" a lot and as enjambments.
