Today is Wednesday, April 25, 2018 all day -- and I'm now in the process of FINALLY taking care of a matter that I should have taken care of ages ago, but life kept getting in the way.

Anyway, having said that, it's PAST due time to give this moving story by John Yossarian a review that makes sense.

Both this story and shaara's "Invalid Item"  deal with a couple of common elements:

(1) a view of an earlier time and how it brought the characters to the present

and

(2)one or more butterflies being in each story.

There is a kind of Citizen Kane   feel to this story, because, as with this famous Orson Welles   movie, there's a theme of unsolved deathbed mysteries explained to the reader/viewer in flashbacks.

I would highly recommend this story along with shaara's story for your reading pleasure and to encourage you to look for the butterflies in each one and think about their significance, and I'd also highly recommend watching Citizen Kane.

It has been many years since I watched this movie, and writing this has left me wanting to watch it again. I wonder if I can find it on YouTube  ...
