Ahoy, Cat, and once again, happy belated WdC 'birthday' on here! In the midnight hour... You claim this isn't your best work, but it's still pretty good, and it was good enough to win the contest. Writing self-dialogue is good way to express horror because it seems to make it more personal (to the reader!), and I like how you did this. You brought the reader into your world as this new chemical is unleashed into you, and the idea of a Utopia that turns upside down was a great ending. Nice and simple too. I seriously think you should make this a little longer (after I get caught up with the weekly winners), maybe add a bit more fear during that period when time seems to stand still. But I know how changing a piece can sometimes be disastrous, so it's kind of a flip of coin. Well done, my friend! Good to see back in "SCREAMS!!!" Kee ponw ritin gon, and may you have more wonderful 'birthdays' on WdC!
