It is always a pleasure to read your work!What does tHiNG think about while perusing your item?   I thought about Autumn, which is normally my favorite time of year. My October 1 (your title) was a day of jury service. I would much rather have spent it thinking about my favorite season.What does tHiNG applaud about while reading your item? I thought all your words were well chosen and very memorable. This is my favorite part: "They sit and shine with wounded faces. The ancestors talk. " I never pictured relatives as jack-o-lanterns before but with some of the more gossipy type, it seems to fit. I found the comparison to be spot-on and memorable, which is what I look for in poetry. I look for something that surprises me and makes me look at the world in a different light. You have certainly done that with your eloquent language. Well done!  tHiNG a.k.a. 4ps a.k.a. HOOves P.S.
