LINGERING MEMORIES [E] Memories of love never fade. |
Namaste! I clicked the 'random review' button and was pleasantly surprised when one of your poems showed up! Well, I've learnt so much about writing poetry from you that I can hardly presume to review your poem -- but WDC has placed it on my platter, so here I go. The sentiment comes through fully. This poem, as is, is complete in all ways and the form fits the emotion. There's only one thing I did feel as a reader -- I'd have liked to know where the poet is now, in life, in terms of a relationship. Is there a new relationship, but the old one still haunts? Is the poet alone these days, due to the lost relationship? As I said, the poem is complete as is, and of course the writer chooses to reveal as much as s/he wants to. I'm just mentioning my reaction as a reader. It probably means your poem has done its job, since I got invested in the character portrayed! Also -- a small point about the genre. You've chosen 'melodrama', which implied to me that the emotions here are over-stated, not really felt. I don't feel this is the case, is that so? Again -- feel odd reviewing a poem by one who has taught me so much! Thank you! - This review comes to you from "The WDC Angel Army" My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Get CASH!" .
