LIGHT [ASR] Chapter 1: The Dream |
Wow! What tremendous emotional impact this story carries! I feel as if I've been picked up, shaken, and set aside. I really want to know if this younger student, the motorcyclist, is the one who originally hit our narrator? Or is the poor narrator only having flashbacks? I admire how you delved into the narrator's character, personality, and nature, and how you demonstrated his character evolution, from prior to the accident, through the hospital stay, and afterward; and now, it seems he's right back emotionally and pscyhologically, at the point of his prior accident. That is, the motorcyle's headlight has yanked him into a flashback of the past. However, his classmate is right there and obviously responding to the situation, so hopefully he will call for professional first responders; and maybe the narrator can get therapy to deal with these issues plaguing him. I marked it 4.5 because there are several instances where ", ought to be ," but I would be happy to review a later revision. My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Get CASH!" .
