I found the description in this story explicit. I could almost feel the struggle, pain and despair, the perpetrator was going through. Trying to think of all contingencies so as to get away with murder, then to realise he’d left evidence at the scene.

I liked the intermittent cry of the crow, which was watching the struggle from his vantage point in the trees.

The writer kept this reader’s attention until the conclusion of this atmospheric piece. Thanks for sharing.
