 | bad news .  [13+] hii, my name is evie & i have borderline personality disorder  |
| (4.5)  Welcome to WDC from "Newbie Welcome Wagon" ! Hi again, Eve. I know I told you to 'cheer up' in my last review, and I still mean that. But I didn't know about this. First off, my oldest daughter has borderline personality disorder, and she's 33. She was also misdiagnosed about 10 years ago, so it hasn't been easy on her either. Especially raising three sons by herself, two of which are now teenagers. BUT...she is able to control it, with the help of her psychiatrist and certain medications. That's doesn't mean medication is right for everybody, or that the same meds will everybody the same way, but once they get regulated, things do look up! Please don't be so down on yourself, Eve! It's not your fault, and it's NOT the end of the world! From what I gather, you're 22 years old, right? Like I said, that's about the age when my daughter was diagnosed, even though they didn't get it right the first time. I'm not sure if they still have her diagnosis right, and neither is she, but like I said, she's getting better! I'll throw some lines out around here and see if there's BPD support group on Writing.Com. I'm sure there has to be something-we're a pretty close knit group-more like a big family than a bunch of writing critics, so when one of us is down, we know there's somebody here with an open ear to listen or a shoulder to lean on!
