Hello there, Izzyb!
This is a neat letter informing this horrible monster that you will no longer let it hold you prisoner, as it does with so many other people, and you did great job of just not writing this, but standing up to Depression as well!
And you couldn't have used a better metaphor for this!
Depression runs not just in individuals, but it's also been known to sometimes run in entire families! What's even worse is that a lot of other problems are either associated with this, or are caused by this! My oldest daughter has bipolar syndrome, and to say she's depressed a lot of the time would be a major understatement!
Anyway, you did great job with this, my friend! And I'm so happy for you that you stood up to it and didn't let it take you down any more! I just wish more people could see this and how you've done it!
Nice ending, too! *Smirk*
My only suggestion would be to maybe break this into paragraphs if that's possible, and maybe put it in a larger font?
