Hi, Jacky!
This is a neat little ‘feel good’ piece about memories and your first trip to the dentist, and it’s major contrast to a horror piece I wrote about a trip to the dentist!
This Dr. Peters sounds like a great guy, and I’m sure you weren’t the only lucky kid to have his sense of humor relax you during what for some would be considered a pretty frightening experience!
It’s both dentists and doctors who go out of their way to do things like this, and they should get medals!
In fact, I think the movie Robin Williams starred in, Patch Adams, was actually based on a real doctor.
Please don’t hate me, but I did spot a couple of tiny typos in this nice flash fiction piece:
‘I(t) immediately made me think...’
‘I hoped it was all dentist’s’ (dentists)
