Welcome to WDC from "Newbie Welcome Wagon" ! Greetings, Ranthen! As a lover of dark pieces, I thought this was good. I realize this is a poem, but it seemed a little awkward in the syllable count, and not all the words rhymed perfectly. BUT...that's not really relevant, considering the subject and how well you made your point about how this girl is judged by others. It makes me think of the Salem Witch Trials for some reason! Maybe because that's how I pictured those girls who were accused back then and what they had to go through. You did a really nice job of showing how she feels lost and abandoned as she sits alone 'among the reeds and weeps', and that byline and the ending say it all. I've been judged by my appearance far too often, so I can totally relate to this! Well done, Ranthen! Kee pow ritin gon, my friend, and welcome to WdC! If you like to write, then you're going to love it here! PS-You might want to get your bioblock (biography) set up so we can know a little something more about you (hobbies, favorite books/authors, location, etc.), but that's up to you, of course. PSS-And since you’re new here, perhaps you’d like to check out "Noticing Newbies" and introduce yourself to the rest of the community if you haven’t already.
