Hi there, Kathy!
I like this. It's one of those 'In your face!' stories where somebody gets their comeuppance, and you did a good job of telling it.
I think everyone has had this happen to them at one time or another, where somebody thinks you look familiar. But in this case, they really did know, although you weren't letting them know that! At least not at first. And why? I think you were trying to be polite and didn't want to shove the fact that he called you a 'loser' in his face.
But alas, but he persisted, and he got what he so well deserved! His comeuppance! 'Looks like you're the loser now!' was a perfect reply!
Nice job with the spelling, grammar, and the prompt phrase, but I did spot a few niggles with speech tags:
“You look so familiar(,)” He said. (he)
“I work downtown(.)” I curtly responded. (should be a comma)
