Hello there, T-Writer!
For such a short piece, I thought this was pretty good! It brought back memories of being a kid and feeding the ducks while I sat on the shore of a lake in California, which is exactly what I think you were writing about with this, right? Maybe not ducks, but something close!
I also like the simplicity of this; you didn't go overboard, but you put just enough into it that the reader can picture you there being cautious because you know their chicks/ducklings are close by, and the last thing you need is an angry 'momma' coming at you!
