Ahoy, Leadwood!
I like this! This is one those rare occasions where the author is writing in the first person and THEY become the victim! In fact, it might be the FIRST one I've read on here!
You did a great job with the prompt phrase, and the story was expertly written. It simple and direct and easy to follow.
And you didn't even have to add any gore at the end because we all know where that hammer is going to fall! Or damn close, anyway! *Smirk2*
This reminds me a lot of Stephen King's Misery where Paul Sheldon has ankles shattered by Annie Wilkes with her sledge hammer!
Great spelling and grammar, but I did spot one niggle:
"Where's the money?" She asked.' (she)
