Welcome to WDC from "Newbie Welcome Wagon" ! Hi there, Canis Lupus! This is a nice informational piece, and you apparently have some experience in the outdoors. I was born and raised in Alaska, so some of this I already knew. Not that I’m an Eskimo or lived in an igloo — I lived in Anchorage — but I did a lot of camping and learned a lot of survival skills when I was there. But I know a lot of city folks who take the woods for granted, and they could really use information like this before they set out for the great outdoors! The spelling and grammar were good, as was the presentation. Comments and suggestions: ‘Doming the celling will help any meltwater’ (ceiling — also, I think this would sound better if you said ‘will help any melting water’ — just a suggestion) ‘Clothing OFF when working, Clothing ON when resting. Avoid SWEAT.’ (great advice! So is the part about having your bed higher than the entrance) My only other suggestion would be to keep adding some more survival advice. Kee ponw ritin gon, Canis! Thanks for sharing this, and welcome to WdC! If you like to write, then you’re going to love it here! By the way, thank you for your service! PS-You might want to get your bioblock (biography) set up so we can know a little something about you (hobbies, favorite books/authors, location, etc.), but that's up to you, of course. PSS-And since you’re new here, perhaps you’d like to check out "Noticing Newbies" and introduce yourself to the rest of the community if you haven’t already.
PSSS-If you want more exposure for your items you can put them on the Please Review Page or The Shameless Plug Page under Community on the left hand side.
