*BalloonR* Welcome to WDC from "Newbie Welcome Wagon! *BalloonR*

Bon jour, AnonNaomi (a.k.a. The Dark Angel)!
This is kind of weird. Weird, but good.
I’ve seen a few pieces on this site that were written in this chronological/diary style and dealt with their own ‘altered realities’. In fact, I wrote one myself. But most of those were their own fictional accounts of their fall into insanity, whereas this piece kind of jumps all over the place. For instance, you start out with how you’ll be addressing people here on WdC, and then you quickly jump to a bit of trivia about Ramen noodles and video games, then you talk about how you injured yourself and how it’s affecting your typing (cool job with the misspelled words, by the way! *).
See what I mean?
There’s nothing wrong with that, though. Hell, I’ve written some things just to be writing, and for a true writer, that’s what we have to do sometimes! Writer’s block is a very real and very cruel thing, but oddly enough it also lead to the very first piece I ever had published! One night I couldn’t think of anything to write, so I decided to write a VERY short piece about nothing. It’s title? "Nothing, and it blew my mind when a literary journal wanted to publish it!
Sorry, I digress. I do that a lot. My point is that real writers HAVE to write. It’s kind of like an addiction. Stephen King says he doesn’t write for money or popularity, but because he simply HAS to. For him, writing is like breathing.
Anywho, I’m glad you wrote this, and even gladder (my new word!) that you posted it.
Kee ponw ritin gon, Dark Angel! I’ll try to keep up with your portfolio, but please know I review a lot of people on here. So if you don’t hear from me for a while, feel free to email me and say, “Hey, Angus! I thought you said you’d keep up with my portfolio!”

* I write mostly horror and one of my stories "The Deal is about me getting an argument with my Muse because he won’t help me think of anything to write about. Like your piece here, it also has some intentionally misspelled words due to damaged(?) fingers...*Smirk2*
