Reviewing this as a fellow participant in "I Write in 2019 [E]

First impression: Really loved the imagery and flow of this free-form poem.

Suggestions: See below. For the most part, the poem contains concrete imagery, which is a good thing, and word choices are spot on.

Opening: A strong opening, describing a birth without needing to make it more plain.

Ending: This is the one place where I have a suggestion. As the rest of the poem is strong, the last line stood out to me as being a bit more abstract. "We deserve..." Not sure exactly how to modify it, and it might be fine like it is, but as I said, it did seem incongruous.

Overall: Great poem, and while I can't speak to the requirements of the contest, it stands alone as an example of image-rich poetry. Keep it up!
