Overall Impressions:

I waited to do this review due to the conflict of interest as an entry into "Invalid Item"  Week 1 Octoberfest so please don't think I forgot about you!

Wow, this was a truly chilling story poem! I felt my skin crawl quite a few times reading this piece. The lore created and the use of the mother-daughter relationship was such an incredible combination to hit home in an emotional and horrifying way. The combination of those two factors are truly intense.

Conventions:

This was a free-verse poem but within it, you added many rhyming lines and I have to say for such a horrifying piece this added even more beauty and terror.

Suggestions:

I did had a clarification issue on what the empty vessel was until I reread this again and again and realized the PUMPKIN was the Empty Vessel in which mom used to put her own soul into to lure her daughter to her final demise... AHA!!!



Favorite Parts:

Really the entire plot of this story poem and its execution was what made it perfection for me. If you can hit me in the gut emotionally and give me chills, you're a winner in my book. You created a masterful piece through and through with this.
