I like this! It might be short, but you said what you needed to with a minimum of words, and the descriptions were excellent!
I've never had a problem with spiders. Maybe cuz my grandmother once told me that if you kill a spider it'll rain for 7 days?
Anyway, I like the semi-ambiguous ending you gave to this. The reader (at least this one! *Laugh*) isn't sure who this 'Jack' is, and like you, we can only imagine what your inheritance is behind that beautiful webbing. And why is it being 'protected' by those spiders, if indeed it is being protected? Perhaps the spider's just decided to spin their web there after all those long years?

Well done, Patrece! Not sure how this did in what contest you entered it in, but it looks like a winner to me!
PS-You mentioned 'Experience' as one of the genres for this. How's that work, if you don't mind me asking...
