This is good, and I can see why it won that contest! Congratulations!
My father was a lot older than I was. He was 43 when I was born, so he was 56 when I was a teenager, but even though he tried to 'hang' with the younger kids and do some things he was a bit too old for, it still didn't embarrass me. Which is what I believe this about, right?
The fact that Amanda's mom was trying to re-live her childhood through her daughter is cool, and now that I'm 54, I'm trying to keep up with my Grandannasons, who are right now starting into their teenage years! Playing baseball and football ain't as easy as I remember for some reason!
If anything, I've found out that I'm no spring chicken anymore! *Laugh*
You did a great job telling this, Krysha! And Amanda...you go girl! Listen to them old ladies and move them hips! *Laugh*
