Season's greetings, Amelia Janet!
This is a cute (and I don't use that word very often!) little piece, and I like the creative and imaginative way you wrote it!
The idea of a rookie elf being sent to the wrong house (and full of bratty little children, no less! *Shock2*) would indeed be a nightmare, and he really shows his fear with that in his 2nd post. But at least by the 3rd post things had settled down with the arrival of that other elf.
One thing I'm a bit confused about though is: do these elves have specific genders when they're sent out? *Think* I'm just asking because the first elf doesn't appear to like his?/her? new 'girly) name, and depending on what gender he/she was to begin with, if indeed he/she HAD a gender, it's a bit disconcerting that he/she is now attracted to that other elf named Romeo.
I'm kidding. Sort of. Or maybe I'm just overthinking this, huh? *Bigsmile*
A couple of tiny niggles you might want to check:
'I doubt the demon children even noticed me today, judging from (the way) they acted.'
'concidering' should be 'considering'
