Ick. Can I go back and un-read this? It's been a long time since I've heard mention of Crisco. I can see the goo in my head, though. What a pain to work with. Impossible to clean from the pan, and often saved to fry again. I shudder thinking of it. Yet, after reading this, I understand. And I'm grossed out even more. *Sick*

At first, I thought this was truth, no matter how bizarre. Then, I noticed 'short story' and 'entertainment' for descriptors. You have a sincere voice, with lots of humor and aplomb.

My only suggestion would be to find similes for 'secret'. It gets old when used time and again.
