I almost wish this poem had passed me by. Yesterday, I decided that fear was the motivating factor driving me. Fear of what? I can remunerate the reasons here, but this is your write. One of my fears resonates with yours.

My favorite two lines:

fear clamorous things.
and thoughts that quiet brings.

Techniques
The punctuation is consistent throughout. Which is something I was taught years ago. Not all poets agree. And some like to capitalize the first word of every line, even if it's a continuing thought. The structure of your work felt 'right'. That's not to say I'm judging, we all have writers' largess.

The rhymes may be simple, but I prefer a poem I understand, rather than something obtuse.

I'm working on that fear thing. What, rationally, is there to fear? Why am I constantly afraid I'll do or say something wrong. It happens sometimes, so the worry is legit. I also fear a repeat of a physical emergency that happened a few months ago. It's time to recognize the real me. Time to go back to my inner child, the one who lived without outside influences determining who I am today.

Oh good grief. *Headbang* I just broke the promise mentioned earlier. This is not about me. Yet, in some ways it is. Most important to me is when a reader has an emotional reaction or relates in some way to my work.

My hope is you feel the same, because you have touched my heart today.
