Aloha, Norman! As a 2 time father first to two beautiful daughters, and now a Grandanna to four Grandannachildren, I can totally relate to this, although since I never thought of it in this way, I'm a little sad to read it. Yes, we certainly were their 'Supermen', weren't we? I like how you wrote this poetic style, and the simplicity of it says a lot more than just those few words do. They grow up so fast, and then...'The want to be set free'. We knew it was going to happen one day, but so darn soon? The nice part about it is that we can now be 'Supermen' to our grandchildren, at least to a degree. And in that we can relive our memories! That ending was a nice touch, although also a little sad. It's so true that one day they will be our 'Supermen'. Oh well. Cae sera sera, eh? Kee ponw ritin gon, Norman! Thanks for sharing this, and have a fantastic New Year and New Decade!
