Hello there, Cym Wayne!
I'm not an expert on poetry, but I thought this was pretty good. Not only for the poetry alone, but for the subject matter as well.
That title alone caught my eye, and you did a wonderful job of showing how ignorant some people can be when it comes to handicapped parking. I know there are some folks out there who do take advantage of it, but those are few and far between, and when they do they make even harder on those who really need those spaces.
You hit the nail on the head with that line: 'People can’t cope with evidence not in plain sight'!
My father always resisted using his oxygen tank when he was out in public (or using a handicapped space), but that soon ended one day when we went to buy groceries and he had to wait by the check out line because he was totally out of breath!
Well done, my friend! You should try to publish this, or at least make some posters of it and ask stores to hang it in their windows!
