"The Old Tractor" is really a poem though it is very different kind of poem. Through this poem, the poet SL Davis wonderfully shows the feelings and emotions of the old tractor of the poet's Dad. This is Free-Verse poetry but we can not deny the of on-going emotions of the car which adds a special dimension to the poem. The sweetest memories of the poet Dad's old tractor is undoubtedly romantic in beginning. Gradually, it turns towards a tragic end when the was starting to lose her beauty and efficiencies.
Suppose, this poetry tries to say some bitter truths of our life. When we are strong and efficient enough, everyone wants us. When we are getting old, we become gradually inactive. None wants us. We feel loneliness. Very well written poetry indeed. Hope, we shall be able to many beautiful poems like this one in the future random basis.
