What I Liked

         *Bullet* Wow. *Facepalm* I read this over a few times and I must say, what an experience for you! I loved this. As a boy you lost your friend and attended a grave side funeral with strangers, became angry while the priest talked endlessly, and then you and Mitch began to laugh, unintentionally, and couldn't stop yourselves so you covered it up by pretending to cry. It was believable so people rubbed your shoulders, which made it worse as Mitch peeked at you through his fingers and you almost peed your pants from it all, and thinking you would go to hell for sure! *Laugh* (I hope it's okay for me to laugh!)
         *Bullet* This is so well-written from a boy's perspective and I totally felt so bad for you in many ways: the grief, the anger, and just being a kid who's laughter replaced them both, which seriously may have been a blessing in disguise, other than feeling guilty. (Are you Catholic?) *Whistle*


Suggestions to Consider

         *Bullet* I have no suggestions. Well, actually, under the genres, I didn't really feel this was dark. But that's me. Perhaps I read it differently than how it was meant to be read.


Final Thoughts

         I really enjoyed reading this!

         I have to confess, I've had a similar experience except it was at a wedding--my dad's 3rd marriage. Yes, during the part near the end. And... I was an adult, which made it worse. Though I didn't pretend to cry, I did get it under control, no thanks to my sister. *Laugh* And why does it always feel so good when it's not suppose to happen. *Smile* Oh, well. They ended up divorcing anyway. *Wink*
