Well, the Greek story is narrated in all its color.
Medusa- unusual divine figure of Greek mythology. "horrible" but divine as the information tells me. Interesting contradiction?
The female gorgon is also known as a guardian (guardian of what?)
She is famous by her hair of entwined snakes and a deathly eye that turned men to stone are famous.
"Medusa the snake-headed monster
had many snakes upon her head"

Perseus the Hero slays her using the bronze shield of Athena for the reflection of sleeping Medusa's head.

Like any other ancient stories, Greek mythological stories based on their pantheon of Gods and Goddesses and their fraud and plotting against one another make interesting reading. I think Fate is their main beam on which human lives are dependent for good and bad of their lives.

This poem you have shown above carries a brief but key story of Medusa. we should be grateful to Ovid, Homer and some more ancient Greek and Latin poets for their poetic skills and recordations of stories.

Thank you for sharing.
