My impression of this item was: This is a poem about a bird endangered in its natural habitat. This danger was not from man but from nature itself as a storm surges ashore, probably a tropical one like a hurricane. The poor bird has to seek cover but thankfully survives. Nature is rough enough on itself. It doesn't need man's help.

Your spelling and grammar: looked good to me.

What I liked most: I liked the rhyme of course. I love rhyme poetry and this country setting made this perfect.

What I liked least: Nothing thus the five stars.
