Ha ha ha ha ha! I'm delighted that this one showed up on Random Reads, and let me tell you straight out -- my Dad and I both agree with you! *Greetr*!

Yes, to our ears, today's music does sound like 'noise'. You wrote this for the challenge, but I was imagining you at a party with the music playing around you, desperate for escape. My Dad says it's 'all beat and no melody'.

Does the music of each generation reflect the sort of life the people of that generation lead? Is today's generation all about fast pace and movement -- no slowing down to harmonize? That being said, there are some young musicians today who are very talented and hopefully, music with some real soul is on its way back.

Your poem works as it is. Maybe choose a couple more genres to give it wider exposure, and some WritingML like font, size and center.
