Greetings, , I am reviewing this today as one of two judges for the "Writing 4 Kids Contest " . Please do not edit your limerick until after the winners are announced! Thank you! *Smile*

*Pencil* First of all, my reviews are intended to be helpful and encouraging, not hurtful in any way. Use what you feel works for you, and leave the rest.

Visually appealing It's okay, but larger font (for kids *Whistle*) might be nice. *Bigsmile*
Easy to understand Yes
Followed the prompt & rules Yes (thank you!!!)

*Crayons4* First Impression I struggled getting the flow, but other than that, great descriptions of Gus the mutt, doing what dogs tend to do. *Laugh* And good job on using the senses!

*Crayons7* Meter: You followed the required meter 8/8/5/5/8 to a T...almost. In your 3rd Stanza, 3rd Line: I'm urged to rise, there are only four syllables. Two options are: I am urged to rise or I'm urged to arise. Or whatever you think. *Wink*

*Crayons* Rhyme: Great rhyming.

*Crayons3* Flow: Well...for some reason, I couldn't read through it flawlessly. I've tried and tried and finally wondered if it was just me. Which made me think if a child was reading this, could they do a better job? I struggled with a few areas, yes, though not the entire piece.

*Crayons5* Technicalities: Everything looks clean! *Smile*

*Crayons2* Favorites:

He shook his great hide,
cocked a leg and sighed.
as I choked in his gas thund'rous.

*Laugh* I've almost choked on doggy gas, too, so I get it!

*Crayons8* Final thoughts: A fun and funny piece children would get a kick out of. Nice work, Sandra. *Smile*
