It is an excellent poem. Though the poem is tiny in size, even though, it has an enormous depth of thought. We, the people of our material world, are not the same. It is obvious. The narrator wants to tell that. So, the teller's attitude may look silly to that whom the narrator likes most. So, the bud of that relationship never prospers. Is it silliness? No, it cannot be such, it just expresses the emotion of love, nothing else.
